Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives.
1 Peter 3:1 (NIV)
How can we better understand God's plan of salvation? It is obvious that God, in His grace and sovereignty, wants all to be saved and come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. His plan of salvation is not only entrusted to pastors and evangelists who preach the gospel from the pulpit and in public squares, it also extends to the family. To women, His word teaches us that they do not even need to preach, but to submit to their unbelieving husbands. An attitude that will lead them to salvation.
When we look at the works of God and His intervention in the lives of His children, we cannot ignore that having an intimate relationship with men has always been part of His priorities. Everything pushes us to desire His presence and to draw much closer to Him day by day. Even the attitude of the wife towards her husband can bring him to God. Isn't that wonderful?
If God’s priority has always been to have a perfect relationship with us to the point of sending His Son to die in our place to redeem us, then our priority should also be to seek out the lost and bring them to Christ. Since your conversion, how many people have you shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with? If you haven’t yet, I encourage you to make God’s priority your own.
May God’s grace and peace be with you all.
