And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19 (NASB)
At church, we love hearing sermons about faith and perseverance because it strengthens our trust in God. But once we leave the building, we begin to question and doubt God. When God begins to teach us the lessons of faith, truly unexpected situations can arise in our lives.
Sometimes, in the midst of trials, God makes us wait much longer than we thought to teach us to rely on Him. Instead of letting Him teach us and seeing Him at work in our lives to transform us and bring us to maturity, we find ourselves believing that He has abandoned us. The Bible tells us that faith is firm assurance. It is this assurance that God seeks to teach us through our trials.
You must know that God is the foundation of faith. He knows that it will not always be easy for us to have this faith which hopes in what it does not see. This is why through His trials He teaches us to grow in a perfect relationship with Him, and from this relationship will be born confidence and assurance. Even if you have to wait longer than expected, trust in God's teaching, for as much as He has to give you, He also has to teach you.
May the grace and the peace of God be with you all.
