The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.
2 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
You probably often wonder why as a Christian you have to go through trials, go through difficulties and even sometimes come to a point where your life no longer has meaning even for you. The Bible does not say that God will prevent you from facing trials, but that He will deliver you from them. The Bible is full of upright and honest men, serving God with all their hearts who faced trials that were beyond them. Job is a perfect example.
Do your trials have anything to do with your sins or your past mistakes as many believe? The answer is no. If God lets you go through trials, which He always will, it is to help you grow in faith, become spiritually mature and develop absolute and well-founded confidence in His word. God's deliverance in the midst of trials is reserved only for godly men, that is, those who walk in His ways and obey His word.
Do not worry when you see the waves of life overwhelming you, God is in total control. If He lets them last on you it is to lead you to seek His help, because often when we feel that everything is going well, we move away from Him a little to seek satisfaction elsewhere. Because He loves you and wants to keep you attached to Him and His word, He lets you go through the trials to remind you of what awaits you on the other side of His path. Be at peace in the midst of trials, God already has the exit plan for you.
May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
