Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)
You have lived several years of your life, and you have just seen another one go by during which, I am sure, you have learned a lot, seen a lot, and heard a lot. There is no doubt that you have experienced difficult times as well as strong times, times of pain as well as times of joy. We have all had those moments of tears and joy, pain and sorrow. Now, here you are at the beginning of a new year, what are you going to do to improve the situations?
God uses each day of our lives to elevate us and help us become spiritually mature. However, no matter how much He desires to transform us according to His purposes, He always leaves it up to us to decide. He does not force us to do what we do not like. He explains to us the consequences of our choice to obey Him or not to obey Him, and then He asks us to make the right choice. You have probably made bad choices in the past year that you regret today and do not want to repeat. The author of the book of Proverbs brings you the best solution.
If you have failed in your past projects, it may be because you thought you were the man or woman for the job and you wanted to prove it to yourself. As they always say, new year, new decision. It is time to make the decision to commit your life totally to God and entrust him with your projects. You may not like his way of doing things, but one thing is for sure, he will make sure that you succeed in every way. Do not make the same mistake by trying to control the situation, but lay it at the feet of God and remain confident until the end.
May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
