For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law.
Romans 2:12 (NKJV)
Some religions still advocate obedience to the law in order to be saved. Although they accept Jesus Christ as the Savior who was to come for the salvation of the world, they refuse to believe that grace in Him alone saves. The Jews never received Jesus as the Son of God. To them, the true Son of God should act like David, always ready to go to war. All of these people still live under the yoke of the law.
Speaking of those who will perish without the law, Paul is referring to those who will be judged according to their refusal to submit to the divine revelation given to them by the Holy Spirit through the proclamation of God’s word. Because they have rejected the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives, they will perish without being saved. For those who will be judged by the law, their judgment is the result of their disobedience to God’s law. For the law requires complete obedience. One cannot ignore one part in order to obey another.
Which side are you on? Remember that Jesus Christ gave himself on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins and to pay the price for your salvation, which the law could not do. Without the law you can be saved, you just have to believe in the sacrifice of the cross and accept the truth that the Holy Spirit reveals to you through the word of God. If the law condemns you, grace sets you free, do not be among those who perish for lack of knowledge by rejecting the law and refusing the revelation of the Holy Spirit in your life.
May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
