What is Blocking Your Breakthrough?

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Joshua 1:8 (NIV)

Often, we find ourselves saying that God does not answer our prayers or we wondering why others succeed when, despite our faith and our insistence on striving to move forward, we always end up in the same place, doing nothing. I call that a Breakthrough.

What is stopping you from making your breakthrough?

The problem is not with God. Rather, it is because the desires of your heart or your plans do not align with God's will. You define your breakthrough as a financial opportunity, a social position, a promotion, a material achievement without taking into account what God Himself wants to accomplish in your life. There is yet another impediment to this. It's when you want to be appreciated and applauded by people around you for what you achieved. It calls a self-glorification. This is not what God is looking for in you to have your breakthrough.

What God wants to do to receive His blessing is exactly what His word says: "Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness...(Mat 6:33)". And as our verse today clearly tells us: "...so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." Do you see? The Bible gives us the secret and the way to get there: Seek God and Stay in His word.

If you are looking for a breakthrough, before looking at what the world offers you, focus on the word of God, seek His will and He will make His breakthrough in you. Then you will succeed where you never expected.

May the grace of God be upon you.
