We turn to You, Lord, for refuge; we cry out to You when all seems dark. We know that You will not remain silent, that You will not forsake us, for You are our God, our Savior. Forgive us our sins and cleanse us, Lord. We know that we have done wrong by disobeying Your word, so we acknowledge our iniquities and ask You not to turn Your attention away from us.
Thank You Lord, that despite all that we have done, You continue to love us and grant us Your grace. Your chastisements are not to harm us, but rather to correct us. Teach us, O our God, by Your spirit, to accept them with wisdom and discernment. Thus, we will learn to put Your word into practice and live according to Your will.
